The Reach of Sisters is a short story about two sisters struggling to save each other. Cassie, the oldest, has magical powers that will help her save the world and keep her family safe. Izzy, the youngest, cares for her older mentally ill sister, unable to believe Cassie’s fantasies of magic. With their mother unable to cope with Cassie’s powers, or imagined powers, the girls are on their own to rescue each other from harm, even harm from each other. Is Izzy standing in her sister’s way to develop the powers that could save them from evil? Are Cassie’s powers only in her head? Is she becoming a danger to herself and those around her as her belief in her magical abilities grow stronger? Which sister truly needs reaching?
