About Bethany S Ash

Before I ever was a writer, I was an avid reader, devouring stories left and right. You would never see me go anywhere without a book in my hand. My obsession with stories showed me the world in new light, from the shining lamppost of Narnia to the intelligence of Ender Wiggin. I began to use stories to make sense of the world around me, to understand people, and to get to know myself.

Devon and Lexi Book of Secrets

I believe stories are gateways into better understanding and that is what I always attempt to reveal to my readers. You will find I do not shy away from darker topics as I firmly believe that only when we address the bad will good come to change it. However, I also love humor, even in the darkest moments. While some of my stories are sparse with humor, others are full of it until it overflows.

Stephano Book of a Wizard

The dark, the light, and the gray is all about what I see the world needing to discuss. Sometimes we focus a little too much on the dark or a little too much on the light and forget all about the majority of gray that roams this realm. Life is full of grays and it is up to each individual person to choose how they see them. That is why I make some of the character’s decisions so difficult and gray. I hope to help the reader understand themselves by realizing how they would choose in the character’s position.

Jeremiah Morelli The Reader’s Path

Life is not black or white. It is not always easy to see what is right or wrong. However, I believe that stories, using a twist on reality, can give us enough space from our own lives to truly see and understand our world. We can see problems better as well as the good things. I bring this twist into my stories using futuristic societies, robots, monsters, fairies, magic, and even the occasional horror.

I hope you choose to read my works. As any writer should, I love feedback and constantly look to improve my writing. Look at my blog for writing tips, inspiration, new info about my upcoming books, in-depth looks at characters, and peeks into my writing process.
